Gucci's latest sustainable efforts come in the form of bio-based exceptionally water-resistant watches in the GUCCI DIVE collection.

Just like their industry counterparts in fashion, sustainability has presented itself as the topic of the hour, rising as a global issue across all industries, with watchmakers unveiling how circularity can go hand in hand with sustainable practices.

Gucci has embarked on a 10-year sustainability plan to reinforce a culture of purpose. Macro Bizzarri, President and CEO of Gucci said: “Gucci is driven by the issues that are fundamentally influencing and creating our collective future. We are committed to generating positive change for people and for nature across our business.”

Powered by innovation and experimentation, the Italian fashion house aims to cultivate a sustainable business model by increasing low-impact alternatives and environmentally-friendly materials in their collections – and the latest GUCCI DIVE collection is no exception.

As part of the house’s sustainable effort in reducing carbon footprint, the four new watches have been upgraded with bio-based alternatives, made with plant-derived bioplastics from renewable sources and recycled steel. Bearing a rubber-like 40mm case and strap, the timepieces feature a Swiss-made automatic movement, revealed through the transparent dial and case back.

In tandem with Gucci’s playful aesthetics, the sporty collection is embellished with unique and kitschy Gucci accents for the indexes. You can spot iconic symbols of stars, bees and interlocked GG on the watch face, adding a peculiar touch. The Dive watches have a water-resistant level of up to 200 meters (20 ATM), making them the perfect stylish choice for aquatic environments.

The androgynous watches are available in transparent, matte white, aquamarine and natural moss green.
