New York Minute: Moschino's Pre-Fall 2020 Collection

Earlier this week at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn, Moschino presented the Pre-Fall 2020 womenswear and Fall 2020 menswear collections by Jeremy Scott, a love letter from the creative director to the city, where he spent part of his life. 

Scott reinterprets the various subcultures of the Big Apple through the signature irony of the Italian house, in a stylistic journey that wends its way from the uptown polish of the Upper East Side to the leather bars of the Lower East.

Madison Avenue tweed is spliced with Williamsburg denim, while '90s Harlem style is evident in colour-blocked windbreakers, supersized puffer jackets, track pants, and flat-brimmed baseball caps, many of which have also been transformed into bags. Financial district flannels are translated into wide-legged pantsuits, and an ode to New York architecture appears in evening dresses that are as shiny and geometric as the skyscrapers.
