Who she is: This Hispanic beauty has been causing a stir since her debut at the tender age of 16. Hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico, 17-year-old Zaragoza isn't just this year's breakout star but also a flamenco dancer with a flair for striking a pose. Her career as a model began much like any other; being recruited by a local agent at a shopping mall. Two years on, Zaragoza found her career skyrocketing to new heights after clinching a coveted spot at the Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer 2017 runway show.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Career highlights: Following the runaway success of Proenza Schouler, Zaragoza walked down the runways of Chanel, Valentino, Christopher Kane, Anna Sui, Coach, Jeremy Scott, Dior, Prada, and Saint Laurent in her first year alone and also made it on the cover of Vogue Mexico. And with multiple editorials including Vogue Russia, Vogue Japan, TeenVogue, Zara, and Dazed Magazine, we're certainly going to be well acquainted with the model from now onwards.
Why she's one to watch: Mexico may not be home to as many supermodels as its neighbouring Brazil but the country's profile in fashion is quickly rising, thanks to its new crop of ingénues such as Issa Lish and Zaragoza herself. Her flaxen locks and blue eyes don't necessarily fit the Latina stereotype but what she possesses is an incontrovertible charm that makes her this season's doe-eyed delight.
