Actors Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun Welcome Their Second Child
The couple tied the knot back in 2013 and had their first child in 2015.
Congratulations are in order – South Korean actors Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun’s second child has just been born! Lee Min-jung’s agency MSteam Entertainment released an official statement on December 21 announcing the good news.
“Lee Min Jung gave birth to a daughter this afternoon. Both the mother and daughter are in good health, and all family members are happy,” the statement read. Lee Min-jung’s pregnancy was first publicly confirmed in August this year, and the baby girl is the couple’s second child, following the birth of their son back in 2015. The two actors, who share a 12-year age gap, tied the knot in 2013. They dated briefly in 2006 but rekindled the romance in 2012 before formally getting married.
Lee Byung-hun, who is currently in the midst of filming the second season of hit Netflix show Squid Game, thankfully made it to the birth of his first daughter. Lee Byung-hun is reprising his role as the Front Man in the thriller series. Aside from Squid Game, the 53-year-old actor is known for his roles in Mr Sunshine and the 2023 film Concrete Utopia, which also starred Park Bo-young and Park Seo-joon.
Lee Min-jung first rose to prominence for her role as Ha Jae-kyung, the fiancée of the star male lead Go Jun-pyo, played by Lee Min-ho, in the famed manga-turned-TV-series Boys Over Flowers. She has also since starred in various K-dramas, including Come Back Mister opposite Rain, and Once Again.
