Jung Hae-in is Returning with a New Romance K-Drama with Jung So-min
Jung So-min is also reportedly considering joining the drama as the female lead.
Jung Hae-in has confirmed his return to the small screen with a new upcoming K-drama called Mom’s Friend’s Son (literal title translated from Korean). Jung So-min, from Alchemy of Souls, is reportedly considering the leading female role for the series as well. The TV show is directed by Yoo Je-won and written by Shin Ha-eun, who were both involved in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, starring Kim Seon-ho and Shin Min-a.
Mom’s Friend’s Son tells the story of two young adults Bae Seok-ryu, and Choi Seung-hyo. Leading a difficult life, Bae Seok-ryu tries to turn her destiny around but she is confronted by Choi Seung-hyo’s presence in her life, as her mother’s friend’s son. Choi Seung-hyo is a highly successful architect in Seoul, seemingly perfect in every way. But when it comes to Bae Seok-ryu, things get a little more complicated for him. As the duo reunites years after not meeting each other, the drama will take the audience on an emotional journey. The drama is supposed to start filming next year, and its premiere to set for the second half of 2024.
Having starred in D.P., Something in the Rain and While You Were Sleeping, Jung Hae-in is one of the most popular actors in South Korea at the moment. Back in late October, the 35-year-old visited Singapore for his fan meeting tour The 10th Season, which celebrated ten years since the actor’s debut.
