A Look Behind the Scenes of IU’s MV for ‘Love Wins All’ Starring V of BTS
The nostalgic MV sets the pair as lovers on the run from mysterious forces in a dystopian world.
Following the release of the ‘Love wins all’ music video, both IU and V’s official YouTube accounts have posted behind-the-scenes footage of the two-day shoot. Shot in the harsh winter season, the vlogs from both artists depict IU and V powering through the shoot while enjoying each other’s friendly company. On IU TV, a segment on the singer’s YouTube channel, IU also shared some stories of how she came to work with Director Uhm Tae-hwa, who previously worked on the 2023 Korean film Concrete Utopia, as well as how the pair ended up casting V as the male lead in this pop ballad.
V’s vlog on BangTanTV shows the idol taking on the role with great passion. In a climactic scene from the MV, he shouts and uses a metal pipe to retaliate against the floating grey boxes, once again gaining the adoration of ARMYs, who are loving V’s new acting endeavours. V also mentioned in his behind-the-scenes interview that he wanted to take on more projects before his enlistment. The filming for ‘Love wins all’ took place just about a week before the singer was set to begin his mandatory military service in Korea.

Korean soloist IU recently released her latest track ‘Love wins all’, a nostalgic, melancholy ode to her lover. Accompanying the song’s release was a music video starring BTS’ V that was highly anticipated until its release. In the five-minute short film, the duo plays a couple in a dystopic land, running away together from mysterious flying grey boxes that hunt down humans. In an abandoned building, they chance upon a video camera that magically depicts them in a beautiful and blissful utopia, where they lavish a happy life together.
The song and MV, which has garnered over 31 million views since its official release, have already gotten so much attention from fans of both IU and V, who have sung praises of the pair’s visual chemistry and acting skills. The MV, directed by Uhm Tae-hwa, has also garnered attention for its complex portrayal of a bittersweet romance. Korean music streaming subscription company MelOn published some behind-the-scenes images of IU and V filming for the short film.
