The LV Volt Line From Louis Vuitton Is An Electrifying Celebration Of Monogram

Remember a few weeks back when Cardi B rocked a monogrammed Louis Vuitton ponytail in her #OOTD? We can’t quite forget it either. Fortunately, if you’re looking to step up your logomania game, you don’t have to go the spray paint route (put down that aerosol can please). Just reach for one of those classic printed canvas handbags, or perhaps, try out the Maison’s new LV Volt line, a graphic collection of unisex jewellery where the label’s iconic initials are transformed into a metaphor for movement.

Dreamt up by artistic director Francesca Amfitheatrof, the fine jewellery series capitalises on the brand’s most abstract form of L and V (as seen on the clasp of the Twist shoulder bag), reconfiguring the letters into architectural, angled shapes that juxtapose sharp lines with soft contours. The designs are loosely grouped in five subcollections, each with its own interpretation of the signature Monogram.

For instance, the LV Volt Curb Chain balances the L atop the V to create links that are then entwined to fashion intricate necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The Volt Mesh, on the other hand, tessellates the Monogram to construct latticework bib necklaces and cuff bracelets, while the Volt Multi breaks up the initials to imprint individual letters in repetition along the surface of minimalist rings and bangles.

Crafted in 18-karat yellow, white or rose gold, and studded here and there with scintillating brilliant-cut diamonds, Louis Vuitton’s LV Volt offerings are at once edgy, elegant and electrifying, and a can’t-miss for your personal treasury of jewels.
