Nicole Kidman Opens OMEGA's "Her Time" Exhibition

Held at the Marble Palace in St. Petersburg 'til 12 September, the exhibition will give guests a close-up look at Omega's iconic timepieces for women.

When she's not busy starring in award-winning roles for television and film or outshining everyone else on the red carpet, Nicole Kidman might sometimes be spotted fulfilling her duties as an Omega ambassador. That includes launching the luxury watchmaker's "Her Time" exhibition in the lavish Marble Palace of St. Petersburg, like she did on August 29.

Attended by a host of Russian and international celebrities, the glamorous opening of the Her Time exhibition was followed by a special cocktail party and dinner during which Nicole was praised by Omega's CEO Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann for her "willingness to take risks to create something truly original." (Personally, we'd praise her for the gorgeous Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2018 gown that she wore to the event as well, which made her look equal parts witchy and elegant.)

"When you consider how OMEGA set out to make precision watches for women, not just elegant decorations, well that's also about having respect for women, and for me, that makes the watches even more exceptional." - Nicole Kidman

A fan of Omega's vintage timepieces herself, the Australian actress is the the perfect person to promote Her Time, which celebrates women's watchmaking at the brand. Since its launch in Milan three years ago, the exhibition has travelled to other cities like Paris, Shanghai and Sydney, bringing with it an array of Omega's iconic feminine timepieces.

At the exhibition, guests are given a close-up look at everything from the Omega's early Lèpine pendants and "secret jewellery watches" to its newer creations like the De Ville Trésor, the Seamaster Aqua Terra and the iconic Ladymatic.

From now 'til 12 September, these luxurious pieces will be framed within the dramatic granite and marble halls of St. Petersburg's famous neoclassical palace, making touring the exhibition quite the experience. Have a peek at the Her Time exhibition at the Marble Palace in the gallery below:
