Sister Act: R&B Powerduo Chloe X Halle Are The New Faces of Fendi’s #MeAndMyPeekaboo
Beyoncé was onto something when she signed R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle under her record label, Parkwood Entertainment Label. Since then, the young duo's star has been continually on the rise, and have since released an award-nominated debut album that infuses R&B elements with trap beats.
Today, Chloe and Halle Bailey are the new faces of Fendi's #MeAndMyPeekaboo series, where they were given full creative freedom over styling and producing - a first for the Italian luxury house, and continues with Silvia Venturini Fendi’s fascination with strong, independent women.
“We have been more than happy to be part of this project. We have always been huge fans of FENDI and working side by side as sisters is truly a blessing”, said Chloe X Halle.
“#MeAndMyPeekaboo celebrates the intimate family relationships that represent inseparable bonds,” said Silvia Venturini Fendi, Fendi Creative Director, “and there is no more visible pair of sisters right now than Chloe x Halle.”
The sisters came together with the direction of Andrew Makadsi’s ideas, videographer Derek Milton and photographer Julian Dakdouk, to produce a series of works that captures the intimacy and bond between the two sisters.
They are seen modeling the iconic Peekaboo bag, in models Peekaboo ISeeU in Medium and East west, over their track “Busy Boy” from their sophomore album, Ungodly Hour. The latest iteration of the Peekaboo, which was presented earlier in the FENDI Fall/Winter 2020-21 Collection in February, features a new accordion-frame shape, to open in a deep ‘smile’ featuring inside pockets which can be interchangeable in smooth leather or precious skins and personalized with one’s initials.
“This video was inspired by a song off of our new album called “Busy Boy.” With the playful lyrics, we wanted to mix dreamy scenery to compliment the song and the playfulness of the peekaboo bag. Filming content during quarantine is so much fun because it allows you to be extra creative, and in this case we got to shoot every scene from home in our backyard,” says Chloe x Halle.

The ongoing #MeAndMyPeekaboo series celebrates the relationship between the FENDI Peekaboo bag and family, with previous episodes starring Kim Kardashian West, Kris Jenner and North West, sisters TK Wonder and Ciprianna Quann, sisters and J-Pop stars Ami and Aya, and more.
The new Peekaboo bag is expected to hit stores from August.
