Mystic Matters: The Mini-Mystic From Givenchy
If you still can’t get enough of the oh so adorable mini bag trend, then the latest offering from Givenchy is the one for you. First introduced for Pre-Fall 2019, the Mystic bag is reincarnated this season in a more diminutive size, aptly dubbed the Mini-Mystic. Like its predecessor, the scaled-down version draws on the design codes of Clare Waight Keller’s couture approach, suggesting at once power and restraint, softness and sophistication.
This latest iteration retains the slightly slouchy, trapezoidal silhouette of the original, along with the graceful V-shaped front flap and vintage-inspired top handle. Spotlighting the savoir-faire of Givenchy craftsmanship, the bag features hand-stitched details, hand-painted edges, and a hand-applied handle formed of three layers of leather. A removable strap allows for it to be carried by hand or slung across the body, while a discreet gold-plated clasp adorns the front, which when closed aligns to form the double-G logo of the maison. Contrary to what its name suggests, the Mini-Mystic is sufficiently ample to fit in a tablet or a book, and your other daily necessities.
Crafted in fine calfskin with a contrasting suede lining, the bag comes in a range of seasonal colours, such as tangerine, pale pink, cherry red, and storm grey, as well as a more exotic gradient-effect python version. Understated but not to be underrated, the Mini-Mystic perfectly embodies the subtle elegance and haute sensuality synonymous with the Givenchy name, and is ideal for the woman who knows that a little bit of mystery only adds to her allure.
The Mini-Mystic will be available in Givenchy boutiques from
mid-November onwards
