Loro Piana Launches A Special Collection in Collaboration with Hyun Bin
Inspired by nature, the collection also features a beech tree motif chosen by the South Korean actor
Italian fashion label Loro Piana has released a special collection made in collaboration with top South Korean actor and brand ambassador, Hyun Bin. Ideal for luxuriating in the heat, the collection features exclusive Summer Walk shoes and Baseball Hats with a beech tree motif handpicked by the Hallyu star. Inspired by nature, the pieces come in various earth tones from deep forest green to deep red clay hues matching well with the more timeless silhouettes that Loro Piana favours.
The brand also pledges to give back to nature, their muse for this collection, by making a donation to support UNICEF's programs related to climate, which aim to raise awareness on the impact climate change has on children's lives. A cause that Hyun Bin is deeply passionate about too.
Recently welcoming a baby boy with his wife, Son Ye-jin, Hyun Bin has been shying away from the spotlight as he focuses on family. Turns out, he has also been hard at work behind the scenes with fashion projects such as these. “This project was born from the love for nature and outdoor life that I share with the brand," the actor explained, "With nature, we live a close and interdependent relationship: the maison creates handcrafted garments with timeless elegance starting from the noblest natural fibers; I take refuge and yearn for nature to excel in my work”

Yes, even the unassuming baseball hat which now comes in the maison's distinctive fabrics. The hat's classic six-segment design is elevated by fabrics like vicuña and velvet cashmere then lined with wool and cashmere flannel—The epitome of casual elegance.
The collection's Summer Walk shoes also keep to that theme of 'casual elegance' as it perfectly combines comfort and style. For instance, the earth-toned moccasins are made of water-repellent suede that have been carefully calibrated in terms of thickness such that it offers softness without losing its shape.
The collection will be available Marina Bay Sands store in Singapore starting from April 12, as well as on Loropiana.com.
