Bottega Veneta Welcomes BTS' RM as their New Ambassador
After much speculation, the Italian luxury fashion house's Creative Director officially welcomes the leader of pop icon BTS into the family.
The BTS boys are having a huge moment in fashion right now. Shortly after it was announced that their youngest member, Jungkook became the newest ambassador of Calvin Klein, the group's leader, RM was officially announced to be Bottega Veneta's. The news broke when the luxury Italian fashion house's Creative Director, Matthieu Blazy posted a campaign photo of the rapper and K-pop superstar with the caption, "Andiamo! Welcome to the family."
RM, also known as Kim Namjoon is no stranger to the world of fashion, with his impeccable sense of style and unique fashion choices. This union, too, has been long rumoured and seemed like a natural progression as the star has been spotted wearing Bottega Veneta pieces and dressed by the brand on multiple occasions. RM also attended the house's Fall 2023 show at Milan Fashion Week, sparking more rumours of this partnership since then.
One thing's clear, he has always had a deep respect for the Italian label. When asked about the rumoured collaboration at the time during an interview with El Pais, RM had this to say, "I would love to, although I’ve lost interest in brands, fashion weeks and the constant change in Pantone... Bottega is different; they don’t use logos, they have a history with weaving and leather, they don’t even have Instagram. They are beyond the buzz."
