Like An Icon: L'Officiel Singapore's September 2020 Issue Is Out Now
The word “iconic” may be an oft overused adjective, but it’s a term that best sums up the mood of L’Officiel Singapore’s September 2020 edition. Delving into the concept of what elevates a person or a product to icon status, this month the magazine, with the help of a diversity of notable creatives, puts a finger on that ineffable but instantly recognisable flair.
“Leading the way is the undisputed Queen of K-pop, none other than BoA — she positively smoulders in Louis Vuitton on the cover of The Icons Issue, and weighs in on pop legend Michael Jackson, 20 years of breaking boundaries, and working with EXO, Red Velvet and Bol4,” says Ian Lee, Editor-in-Chief of L’Officiel Singapore.
“We also get ahold of sister duo and rising R&B superstars, Chloe x Halle, to find out more about their Fendi favourite, the emblematic Peekaboo, and hear from streetwear maven Yoon Ahn of Ambush about working her magic on Bulgari’s signature Serpenti Forever bag,” Lee continues.
“September’s coterie of icon(oclast)s is joined by Danish supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen, who lends her trademark cool-girl attitude to Tiffany & Co.’s T1 series, and shares the reason she considers Frida Kahlo and Karen Blixen her personal inspirations.”
Closer to home, local talents Fiona Fussi and Vivien Ong demonstrate why they’re at the top of the modelling game, bringing a certain je ne sais quoi to Longchamp’s refreshed Roseau line and this season’s Saint Laurent collection, respectively. Other can’t-miss nuggets in STYLE and MODE include the next-gen iterations of Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Kate Spade’s prized insignia; the updated classics by Longchamp, Givenchy, Onitsuka Tiger and Bottega Veneta; and all the au courant offerings from the Fall/Winter 2020 runways.

“No one covers what’s hot like L’Officiel Singapore, and that’s clearly evident in The Icons Issue,” says Olivier Burlot, CEO and Publisher of Heart Media. “This September, the team once again affirms what L’Officiel Singapore is renowned for: our relationships with cultural tastemakers on both a global and local scale, and an eye for the trends du jour across fashion, beauty, jewellery and lifestyle.”
