Stop practising that TikTok dance, because there’s a new social media challenge that’s about to go viral. Miu Miu has just launched the #MiuMe social series, calling on friends, followers, and fans to experiment with their most cherished Miu Miu finds, and then document the results on Instagram.

The new campaign invites a diverse cross-section of people around the world – prominent personalities from the realms of fashion, art, dance and sport, as well as Miu Miu devotees – to snap a picture or video of themselves in their favourite looks from the label, using only their mobile phones for this at-home photoshoot. Whether you choose newly-minted purchases or well-loved vintage pieces, the idea is to go through your wardrobe and present yourself in front of the lens in any manner you desire, thus elevating the commonplace selfie into a statement on your identity and sense of self.

The luxury house will collate and curate these moving portraits as part of the first phase of this ongoing project, in the hopes of sparking a dialogue on the themes of proximity and intimacy, two concepts that have evolved profoundly in recent weeks as social distancing and self-isolation measures separate us from our loved ones.
