Are you on Team Brazil? Or Team Germany? Regardless of whether you speak the lingo of the jersey-wearing crowd that is gearing up for the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup on 14 June, that date is one that you'll want to note down for another football-related reason. This Thursday, Nike will be launching its collection with streetwear label Off-White, titled "Football, Mon Amour."

Designed by Off-White founder and frequent Nike collaborator Virgil Abloh, the collection is inspired by Abloh's memories of soccer from his youth. It includes pieces that make up your typical football paraphernalia — T-shirts, pullover hoodies, track pants, soccer jerseys and goalkeeper gloves — except that these come with the designer's signature quoted slogans, a black-and-white checkerboard pattern influenced by the Czech strips and a logo of a lion juggling dots. Consider us officially on Team Off-White.

But what is a football-themed collection without shoes that are perfect for the field? Enter the Flyknit Zoom Fly.

With a Flynit upper inspired by Nike's Mercurial line of soccer footwear, the running shoes are designed to feel just like soccer boots on the pitch. They certainly don't look like your average soccer boots, though — not with their bright orange upper, "REACT" "FOAM" base and array of polka dots indicating key strike zones.

But hey, we're calling it: these are definitely next in line to becoming one of Virgil Abloh's bestselling sneakers.

The Nike x Off-White “Football, Mon Amour” collection launches on 14 June on nike.com and at select retail locations globally.
