The 2020 Emmy Awards Was An Elegant Affair
Even if the Emmy 2020s award ceremony was noticeably subdued this year, thanks to the lack of red carpet, it did not stop the attendees from looking their red carpet best.
Stunning costumes notwithstanding, the jewellery really shone, as is the tradition for luxury jewellery brand to sponsor famous names for the home-based award ceremony this year. Ahead, we take a look at some of the best emsembles of the virtual ceremony.
Zendaya
Zendaya stole the show in more ways than one. The 24-year-old young actress made Emmy history as the youngest actress ever to receive an award in the "Best Actress (Drama)" category, for her performance in Euphoria. The actress, who appeared in two different looks, wore a deep decollete dress in black and purple by Christopher John Rogers in her first appearance, with Bvlgari jewellery completing the look. While receiving the award, she greets us with a dress consisting of a black polka dot puffy skirt and a stone embroidered bustier by Giorgio Armani Privé.
Regina King
The actress came dressed in an electric blue dress in Schiaparelli, which would have certainly made for a jaw dropping moment on the Red Carpets. She and received the Best Actress Award in the Mini Series / Movie category with Watchmen, For the awards, Regina King favoured a natural look for her hair and make-up.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee Ellis Ross, who was nominated for the “Best Actress (Comedy)” category with her performance in Black-ish, shone in a bold golden Alexandre Vauthier gown with deep ruffles. She also wore Vintage Tiffany & Co. to complement her outfit.
Catherine O'Hara
Awarded under the category of Best Actress (Comedy) with Schitt's Creek, the veteran actor chooses a long-sleeved black Valentino dress with sequined sleeves, complementing her elegance with David Yurman jewellery.
Yara Shahidi
Yara Shahidi came in a Prada signature dress with black feathers across her chest and a white jewel embroidered bottom. She completes her look with with gelled hair and Cartier jewellery.
Cynthia Erivo
Actress, singer and songwriter Cynthia Erivo opted for a colourful dress in lilac and neon green to complement her bold blonde hair, with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
Robin Thede
Robin Thede absolutely stunned in this earth-colored voluptious dress by Christin Siriano for this special night. She completes her look with wavy hair, Jennifer Fisher rings and Misho earrings.
Julia Garner
The actress, who won an award in the category of "Best Supporting Actress (Drama)" with Ozark, was dressed in Chanel from head to toe, from her dress, jewellery, and even makeup. The young actress complements her cream satin dress with classic Chanel pearls, which she wraps around her neck.

Billy Porter, who attracts all the attention with his style at every ceremony he has attended, was nominated for the "Best Actor (Drama)" category this year with his performance in Pose.
