Dior X Air Jordan 1: A First Look At The Collaboration
The worlds of luxury and sports intertwine once again. While Prada is collaborating with Adidas, Dior has just announced a new partnership with Air Jordan, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Nike subsidiary as well as Dior Men's first show in the United States. The two brands unveiled the first silhouette from the collection on Tuesday, called the Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior.
A year in the making, this reinterpretation is the work of artistic director Kim Jones. "I love mixing together different worlds, different ideas - Dior and Jordan Brand are both emblamatic of absolute excellence in their fields," said Jones of the collaboration. The grey and white shoes are made entirely of calf leather with hand-painted edges, and feature the signature Nike swoosh redone in the Dior Oblique monogram. The soles are transparent, with the Wings logo on one side and Dior on the other.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior will be available in limited quantities from April 2020 onwards at select Dior boutiques worldwide
