TWICE Concludes Their Record-Breaking 'READY TO BE' World Tour in Japan
The 15-month long world tour was attended by millions and ended with sold-out weekend shows at one of Japan's largest stadiums, the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama.
TWICE’s fifth world tour, the "TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’ in JAPAN SPECIAL," recently reached its grand crescendo with two scintillating sold-out performances on July 27 and 28 at the iconic Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa, Japan. These concerts were a groundbreaking affair, marking the K-pop sensation as the first overseas female artist to ever perform at this revered venue. Spanning an impressive 15 months with over 51 concerts, the expansive world tour achieved resounding success, attended by approximately 1.5 million fans across the globe, according to local reports.
The spectacular and long journey for Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu kicked off in April 2023 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, setting the stage for a globe-trotting performance that enchanted audiences in a constellation of countries, including the United States, Australia, Japan, Canada, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Singapore, and more. In North America alone, TWICE's magnetism drew over 250,000 fans to nine electrifying locations—New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Toronto, and Oakland—as reported by JYP Entertainment.
TWICE's tour blazed trails and shattered records, becoming the first female act to perform at the illustrious SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and the first girl group to headline MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The finale at Nissan Stadium in Kanagawa was nothing short of spectacular, attracting 140,000 enthusiastic fans over two unforgettable nights. This milestone performance marked the first time a non-Japanese female act had ever graced this legendary stage, cementing TWICE’s star power and current pop culture status as one of the biggest music acts of today.
