TWICE Becomes The First Female Group To Sell Out The SoFi Stadium in LA
They are also the first K-pop girl group to recently achieve the milestone of hitting one million pure album sales in the US
TWICE has made history yet again, this time in the US. A testament to their popularity in the States, the top K-pop girl group recently became the first female Asian act to sell out the massive SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on their READY TO BE world tour. The stadium can reportedly seat over 70,000 guests and we can't think of a more impressive way to kick off the North American leg of the nine-member group's highly anticipated world tour which will span multiple states — Washington, Chicago, Texas and more.
But Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu are not done! The group recently reached a historic milestone, further solidfying their presence and popularity overseas by being the first K-pop girl group to have sold over one million pure albums (both digital and physical copies) in the US alone. Previous K-pop acts to have achieved this feat were BTS, TXT and Stray Kids. These numbers won't come as a surprise for those keeping an eye on the Billboard charts as TWICE's 'READY TO BE' album has been the group's longest charting album in the Billboard 200.

Their popularity certainly extends here to Singapore too as the group recently announced an additional show on September 3rd for their READY TO BE World Tour here after selling out the National Stadium in just 7 minutes. There were reportedly over 100,000 people in the virtual queue when ticket sales commenced, a reflection of the sky high demand to catch this talented group live. Congrats to these gorgeous girls!
