Things had been quiet on the Chungha front for a while. Since the singer parted ways with her longtime agency MNH Entertainment in April this year, Chungha has kept her next steps as an artist under wraps, until now. With a series of new portraits of the Gotta Go singer, the newly established artiste management label More Vision has unveiled that Chungha is the latest act to join the agency.

Chungha first caught the public’s attention in 2016 as the star dancer of the first season of the idol survival programme Produce 101, where she eventually debuted with 10 other girls in the girl group IOI. After the group’s contracted promotions ended, she later went on to start a successful solo career in South Korea, releasing her first EP Hands on Me in 2017. Her follow-up title track Rollercoaster from 2018 garnered the attention of the Korean public when she went viral for quite literally dazzling the audience with a wink during a live performance of the song. But it wasn’t till Gotta Go in 2019 that she cemented her title as one of the strongest all-rounded K-pop solo acts.

In late 2020, Chungha signed a contract with 88rising, the hip Asian-focused American record company which manages artists like NIKI, Rich Brian and Joji. Dream of You, released in 2021 with DJ and music producer R3HAB, catapulted Chungha into international stardom. But the promotion of her latest album Bare&Rare got cut short when MNH announced last year that Chungha would be leaving the agency upon the expiration of her exclusive contract.

Now with More Vision, fans can expect to see a brand-new Chungha, through her new Instagram and Twitter accounts. A couple of hours before the official announcement, Chungha took to her new Instagram account to tease her beloved fans with behind-the-scenes images of her shoot with the label.

More Vision is the latest business endeavour of hip-hop act Jay Park. After the launch of More Vision, Jay Park stepped away from his earlier-established labels AOMG and H1GHR MUSIC, where he was CEO and Founder. More Vision also manages soloist Jessi, dancer and choreographer Honey J, and the dance crew HolyBang, who appeared on the first season of the Korean dance reality programme Street Woman Fighter.
