Time sure does fly by when you're having fun — as of yesterday, October 6, Instagram is officially 10 years old. 

It's a little difficult to remember what our lives were like before the advent of the app. How did we spend our days without a scroll through the 'gram? Made available to the public in 2010, Instagram has exploded in popularity in the decade since, counting over a billion users at present (that is, almost ⅙ of the world's population), and weaving its way into the fabric of pop culture and society one post, account and hashtag at a time.
