BEST NAIL SPA: THE NAIL SOCIAL
The Nail Social is Singapore’s first socially conscious salon that provides training and jobs to local marginalised women who face a harder time finding employment. It is also a lifestyle nail salon that offers luxe manicure, pedicure and foot massage services at two convenient locations: Kreta Ayer and Haji Lane. While we were there, we were treated to a relaxing foot spa that consisted of a therapeutic soak, exfoliation, and a foot massage using organic coconut oil and essential oils, which then ended off with a gelish nail pedicure. It was one of the finest nail services we’ve encountered so far.
BEST HAIR SALON FOR COLOUR TREATMENT: CHEZ VOUS: HIDEAWAY
Tucked away in the hidden corners of Ngee Ann City’s office tower like a speakeasy is Chez Vous: HideAway, a premium hair salon that delivers spa-like treatments to clients. While we were there, we were treated to the salon’s many exceptional services, such as its colour treatments. The whole transformation was not as damaging as typical colour treatments are, due to the amount of care that goes into the process, which is honestly the best thing you can get out of a session of the sort.
BEST HAIR SALON FOR HYDRATING TREATMENT: YANN BEYRIE PARIS, PLUMERIA TRINITY TREATMENT
Founded by Parisian hairdresser Yann Beyrie, this salon offers tailor-made French-inspired hair services to clients. Besides its impressive repertoire of treatments available, Yann Beyrie Paris has also formulated its own Plumeria hydrating treatment in the form of three products: A shampoo, mask, and hair serum. “My hair felt lighter, more nourished and shinier long term,” says Melissa Mae post-treatment.

Expect nothing but the highest quality of hair care services at Do My Hair. Formed by a group of experienced hair designers and technicians in Singapore, this salon is known for its Argan Oil Rebonding Treatment — a great alternative to traditional rebonding services, as it uses a cysteine-based ingredient called Alganam, which is much less damaging to your precious strands.

If your lashes have suffered from the repercussions of extensions or are just naturally short and sparse, consider Browhaus’ Lash Resurrection treatment. This hour-long service uses a special vibrating micro-tip device to apply concentrated lash growth serum directly onto your hair follicles, to stimulate thicker and longer lash growth over the course of just three sessions.

Just like Browshaus’ Lash Resurrection treatment, the grooming salon has come up with a similar treatment solely for the brows. This special advanced eyebrow embroidery technique creates realistic hair strands to give clients natural-looking brows, a welcome departure from the thick, more obvious embroidery you’d get from other semi-permanent brow treatments in Singapore.
