Tis The Season: Saint Laurent Rive Droite Holiday Collection
If there’s one thing we’ve learned since Saint Laurent launched its Rive Droite concept earlier this year, it is to expect the unexpected. Imagined by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, Rive Droite translates the maison’s singular vision from fashion to lifestyle through limited edition collectibles that span apparel, accessories, homeware, furniture, and much more. From collaborations with Google, Wilson, and Bang & Olufsen to branded condoms, diaper bags, and lollipops, the retail branch of the French house has virtually everything you might need or want to Saint Laurent-ify your life.
The latest drop is a collection of ultra-luxe gifts that would make even a grinch excited for the holidays. The maison has collaborated with several other renowned brands, such as with Baccarat on special editions of Heart Amor and Louxor in black-tinged crystal, with macaron maestro Pierre Hermé on rich chocolate Bûches de Noel and boxes of gold-dusted pralinés, and with Thibierge on leather-covered notebooks, among others.
You can dash down the snow in style with a pair of sleek black wooden skis from Zai Skis, light up your Christmas candles with Tsubota Pearl lighters in polished brass, or sip your morning cappuccino from J.L Coquet coffee cups.
Then there are Nordmann trees sourced from the Pinewood Forest in Morvan, cultivated for 9 years to ensure an ideal height of 170cm, which come decorated with neon ornaments in the shape of lightning bolts, hearts, stars, and music notes. Not to mention fully functional retro arcade machines, skateboards decked out in gold leaf or animal prints, gold glitter snow globes, embossed leather dog leashes, t-shirts stamped with the face of Kate Moss or the words “No Hell”, and many more. Most of the Holiday products, aside from larger items, are available online, but for the full experience you’ll have to head for the Rive Droite concept stores in Paris and Los Angeles.
