We didn’t know we needed one until now

You’ve watched every movie and TV series you can think of, reached the bottom of your reading list, pulled a muscle trying out online exercise classes, and baked far too many loaves of sourdough bread. Sound familiar? If you’re anything like us, you’ve probably exhausted all possible avenues of quarantine entertainment by now. Or, as it turns out, almost all. Because Louis Vuitton may just have the remedy for your lockdown boredom – foosball.

Introduced earlier this month, Le Babyfoot (French for “table football”) is the latest in the maison’s line of made-to-order games, which nods to the founder’s grandson, Gaston-Louis Vuitton, and his love of sports and board games. Crafted from wood, the frame comes clad in a choice of Monogram, Monogram Eclipse, and Damier Graphite canvas, as well as smooth or embossed Epi leather in resplendent shades of cyan, pistachio, fuchsia, and caramel.

Attesting to the unparalleled savoir-faire of the luxury house, each player is hand-cast in aluminium, then painted by hand in team colours of red and white, while the gold- or silver-tone counting coins are hand-painted with matching Monogram flowers. The handles are also wrapped in soft cowhide leather, so you don’t have to worry about blisters when you’re battling it out with your partner.

Going for upwards of $104,000 (yes, you read that right), Le Babyfoot is undoubtedly an investment piece. But hey, you can’t put a price on fun, right?
