Inside the Members-Only Parties at Prada Mode Hong Kong
In the spirit of Hong Kong Art Basel 2019, Prada cast a spotlight on contemporary art and culture at its very own private club, Prada Mode Hong Kong, on March 27 and 28. First launched at last year's Art Basel Miami Beach, Prada Mode is a one-of-a-kind pop-up club that hosts a variety of art, dining and fashion experiences to specially invited members.
For its second edition, Prada Mode occupied the third floor of the Barrack Block of Tai Kwun and featured a cosy dining area — which was open to guests for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and cocktails — and a private salon. There were also lounges that doubled as galleries, where Prada staged two installations: Dolls' House, by American photographer Jamie Diamond, and a presentation of Prada Invites, the Italian brand's collaborative project with renowned international designers revolving around Prada's signature nylon.
On both days, Prada Mode Hong Kong hosted a private dinner and a party, featuring DJ sets by Acyde, Fraser Cooke, Mimi Xu and Yasmina Dexter. Amongst the esteemed guests who attended the event were K-Pop rapper Mino of Winner, Moncler collaborator Hiroshi Fujiwara, and a host of fashion bloggers and influencers including Yoyo Cao, Aimee Song, Faye Tsui, Susie Lau, Tina Leung and Bryan Yambo.
