Sandara Park Celebrates the Opening of Kate Spade's New Pop-Up at ION
The Kate Spade universe has recently undergone a makeover thanks to its new Creative Director, Nicola Glass. The New York brand is still very much about embracing colour and embodying a playful, feminine spirit, but Glass has given it a modern touch that's undeniably appealing. You can experience it for yourself at Kate Spade's first global pop-up, which opened at ION Orchard on Monday, 11 March.
The pop-up, which is the first one to be designed under Glass's creative direction, takes the shape of Kate Spade's iconic spade silhouette and is splashed with the very bold (and very pink) new colours of the brand. In other words, it's hard to miss — and even harder to pass by.
There, you'll find pieces from Kate Spade's Spring 2019 collection, like vibrant dresses, chic handbags and countless pretty accessories and jewellery. You can also be one of the first to get your hands on the "amelia spade flower" medium shoulder bag, a limited-edition design that's offered exclusively at the pop-up. (Bonus: for only today and tomorrow, you can have the bag personalized as well.) Speaking of personlization, the pop-up also features the "unlock your heart" service, which lets you customize your own luggage tag.
Korean star Sandara Park dropped by the pop-up on Tuesday to celebrate its launch, where she was joined by celebrities like Rebecca Lim, Juliana Evans, Jessica Mila. Fashion It-girls Savina Chai, Nellie Lim and Fiona Fussi also showed up for the event, which was hosted by Kate Spade CEO Anna Bakst. The party continued up at ION Sky, where guests enjoyed cocktails, canapés and a lively set by DJ Linda Hao.
