Louis Vuitton Unveils New Restaurant in Saint-Tropez

The House's first restaurant in France was entrusted to Michelin-starred chef, Mory Sacko, a young talent who shines far beyond the stoves.

Louis Vuitton will provide a unique experience to anyone who's planning to enjoy the summer in Saint-Tropez this year, where it will be possible to find a nice surprise on the way to the famous Place des Lices, in the heart of the famous French village. This June, luxury fashion House has decided to enter the world of gastronomy and open its own restaurant – 'Mory Sacko at Louis Vuitton'.

The ephemeral venture is located inside the elegant White 1921 hotel and will have the artistic direction of Michelin-starred chef, Mory Sacko, who is very successful on the plate and on screen. Curiosity or coincidence, the same space was occupied in previous years by the ultra media chef Jean Imbert, now invested in the Plaza Athénée et no Monsieur Dior.

The restaurant was designed by the chef as a modern chic experience – with delicious food and cosy interiors. With only 40 seats, the outdoor space will undoubtedly be one of the busiest in the French summer. Sacko's inspiration for this creation, in addition to the menu, came from his travels and relaxing experiences in the wind of the Mediterranean Sea.

The values and essence of the Louis Vuitton brand – such as the art of travel, diversity, French savoir-faire, rigour and perfection – will also be expressed by Sacko who shares them.

Let's down get to the essentials – the menu. Chef Sacko imagined a “locavore” and a mainly vegetable menu that mixes creativity and simplicity. The chef already brilliantly exercises a cuisine with three influences, African, Japanese and French, in his starred Parisian address. Here, it will be no different; the dishes will be the result of mixtures, inspirations, and experiences.

At dinner, guests can expect to find a menu of tapas, Mediterranean recipes and concoctions that only Sacko dares to make. Fashion and gastronomy have never been so close.

The restaurant will be open at Place des Lices, 83990 Saint-Tropez, from Thursday 17th June.
