Inside the Singapore EDITION Hotel

Each EDITION Hotel around the world is known for its luxurious, one-of-a-kind design and experience. The brand’s 17th hotel, and its first in South East Asia, The Singapore EDITION, is no different — punctuated with unforgettable white marbled spaces and biophilic green walls, a restaurant led by Sydney’s celebrated seafood chef Josh Niland, and a stunning rooftop pool. Here, our favourite things about the property

The Singapore EDITION lobby

Enter a pure, white marbled space accented with an elegant and domed gold leaf ceiling, which connects to a corridor generously lined with over 300 South East Asian plants both hanging from the ceiling and potted — picture perfect at almost every angle as the light pours through the windows. From the lobby, an equally photogenic white Venetian plaster staircase spirals down to the garden courtyard.

FYSH at EDITION

Also known as renowned chef Josh Niland’s first restaurant outside of Australia. Niland is recognised for his sustainable techniques and his innovative “gill-to-fin” approach to preparing seafood. FYSH is perhaps best described as a seafood-focused steakhouse, with top dishes including Yellowfin Tuna Fillet Steak, Java Brown Clams and Shark Bay Scampi with Fish Bone Noodles (yes!), and the Valrhona Chocolate Macaron with Yellowfin Tuna Eye Ice Cream — the ice cream is made with the vitreous humour of the fish eye, which acts as an egg white substitute.

Punch Room

For that private late evening cocktail, a discreet side-door at the end of the Venetian plaster staircase on the garden courtyard level leads to the Punch Room — EDITION’s signature bar concept. Each one around the world boasts its own identity, and Singapore’s Punch Room gets covered in a stylish Yves Klein blue, and features a punch cocktail menu heavily inspired by Southeast Asian spices.

The Guestrooms

Talk about minimalist sophistication with modern decor. The 204 guestrooms and suites here are simply swathed in white — cue white oak-planed floors, soothing white rugs and hand-sewn damask throws. Bath and body products are all from Le Labo, and infused with an exclusive-to-EDITION black tea scent.
