Five Things We Love About The Nature-Inspired Pan Pacific Orchard
Unique nature-influenced environments, delectable Mediterranean food, a garden bar, Beach Club Lofts with direct pool access, and a truly splendid spa.
Where will one find Forest-, Beach-, Garden-, and Cloud-inspired spaces in a single vertical verdant sanctuary? Only at the new Pan Pacific Orchard, which opened on 1 June, can you take in four stunning open-air terraces covered in greenery and water features influenced by Singapore's tetrad of distinctive environments. The Cloud Terrace, in particular, is for “events in the clouds”, and has already seen names like Cartier and Louis Vuitton utilising the elevated space. The Beach Terrace, on the other hand, is where you'll find a beautiful lagoon pool outlined by lush greens — the perfect spot for a dip while witnessing golden hour.
When L'OFFICIEL SINGAPORE recently visited Pan Pacific Orchard, we got to experience a short but most satisfying stay in the property's Beach Club Loft — one of the best things about this room type must be that each loft has direct pool access. Not only is the pool just a step away, the Beach Terrace's floor is also home to the hotel's gym and its award-winning spa, St. Gregory, where we tried the plumping and hydrating Elemis Pro Glow Smooth Facial. Our 75-minute session went so well that we can't wait to be back to try the Indonesian Balinese massage and Traditional Chinese Tui Na Massage treatments next.
Of course, no staycation is complete without delectable food and Pan Pacific Orchard delivers both delish local fare like laksa and prata for breakfast, as well as exquisite Mediterranean-Peruvian cuisine for lunch and dinner at the seriously chic Mosella. The absolute must-tries here: Gambas Al Ajillo (king prawns with chilli, and garlic oil), and the Burrata. We will most certainly be back for the set dinner menu, which is priced at S$98 per person.
For tea and tipple, one can easily turn to Pan Pacific Orchard's Florette, which is almost a garden in a bar. Its Wedgwood Afternoon Tea (S$58 per person), with savoury sandwiches like lobster and caviar, and sweet pastries including scones with clotted cream, calamansi macarons, and exotic mango choux comes with a free flow of your choice of TWG teas or Lavazza coffees. What a treat indeed.
