When you step into Spanish choreographer and filmmaker Blanca Li’s fantastical world, there’s only one thing you must do: dance! Boogie your way through a grand ballroom, a whimsical garden party, and Mimi’s private club in Paris, as you follow on the dramatic whirlwind reunion of protagonists Adèle and Pierre.

But before the festivities begins, you’ve got to dress fancy. Li has partnered with renowned fashion house Chanel to create an exclusive collection of virtual costumes befitting a royal Parisian ball, and you can choose from suave tuxedoes, elegant gowns and modern pantsuits to doll yourself in.

The entire Le Bal de Paris de Blanca Li experience is brought to life using room-scale VR, which utilises full-body tracking to allow participants to traverse a physical space while movements are simultaneously translated in virtuality. Whether you’re doing the can-can or navigating a hedge maze, your actions are seamlessly and powerfully rendered in the theatrical surroundings, allowing for complete immersion. The cutting-edge virtual reality technology makes its debut in Singapore with this 35-minute live show, and its infrastructure will be kept for future productions.
