A Wellness Retreat To Get Out Of That Early-year Slump
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Hotels & Resorts newly launched Eco-Wellness programme might be exactly what you need.
Hard to believe but March is approaching its end and we’re now fully in the thick of things when it comes to 2023. With the stresses and hustle-and-bustle of daily life, it is a good time to quickly recall those new year resolutions or health goals we’ve set at the beginning of the year and check on our own progress. Is it going well? Are we lacking in motivation? Are we feeling burnt out? The key is to be gentle yet objective when we look at our progress so as to not discourage ourselves from doing more. Perhaps it’s time to treat yourself to a little weekend of wellness to help recentre and re-energise you for what else 2023 has in store for you.
This gentler approach is what we found ourselves realising through PARKROYAL COLLECTION Hotels & Resorts newly launched Eco-Wellness programme. This multi-sensory programme presents a range of experiences as part of the guest journey in the hotel, driven by the five senses - scent, sound, sight, taste and touch. In terms of sight and sound, customers will be surrounded by the serenity of plants thanks to the hotels’ iconic biophilic design, complete with sound design that enhances biophilic atmosphere. Living in a concrete jungle like Singapore, one cannot underestimate the power of plants in breathing actual life into spaces.
The programme also features a rejuvenating St Gregory spa experience and promotes restful sleep with the hotel’s new Sleep Ritual turndown service. The service includes soothing herbs to brew such as thyme, bergamot lime, mint and rosemary harvested directly from their Urban farm and a scented pillow pouch to lull you into peaceful rest.
The theme of mindfulness is carried through the Hotels’ offerings in drinks and dining too. Head over to Peppermint restaurant for your daily grub and you’re guaranteed a nutritious meal that’s carefully curated and made of locally sourced fresh produce and farm-to-table harvests. Those looking to end their night on a cheeky little night cap — there’s Portman’s Bar which offers cocktails and mocktails centred around ingredients grown in the hotels’ Urban Farm.
