Cool Kids Wear Baby Dior, Especially When It's This Streetwear-Inflected Capsule
Going matchy-matchy with your significant other? Questionable. Twinning with your tot, though? Adorable — for reference, please see Beyoncé and Blue Ivy. And now, Dior is injecting a shot of undeniable cool into the art of doppelgänger dressing with a brand new kids capsule by artistic director Cordelia de Castellane.
Taking direct inspiration from the Christian Dior Atelier designs in the Winter 2020 menswear offerings by Kim Jones, de Castellane imagines a streetwear-inflected series of soft cotton t-shirts, zip-up hoodies and fleece joggers, along with a scaled-down version of the B23 high-top sneaker, for all the junior hypebeasts out there. Awash in neutral tones of black, white and grey with the occasional pastel pink and baby blue, each piece in the collection comes emblazoned with a graphic print that nods to the Maison’s couture heritage and its iconic flagship address at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
Versatile, practical and comfortable, this Baby Dior capsule is well suited to the work and play needs of your mini-mes. Perhaps especially the latter, as evinced by the accompanying visuals, in which three adorable scamps can be seen romping around the Dior atelier, to the bemusement of the French house’s petites mains.
The Baby Dior Christian Dior Atelier capsule is now available in stores. Head to dior.com to find out more.
