For A Real Breakfast At Tiffany’s, You Must Go to London: The Blue Box Cafe
For the ultimate Audrey Hepburn experience, you don't necessarily have to book a ticket to New York to literally follow in her footsteps at Tiffany & Co., the jewellery house that is inextricably linked to the classic film 'Breakfast at Tiffany's.'
London is now the first city in Europe to have Tiffany & Co. open a cafe, where you can sit back and enjoy a croissant and a cup of coffee. The Blue Box Café will open its doors in February 2020 in London's Harrods department store. And just like the first Blue Box Café of the same name in New York in the flagship store of Tiffany & Co., you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in a Tiffany-blue setting, while keeping your eyes peeled for the beautiful jewels that surround you.
Why is the movie called Breakfast at Tiffany's?
But did you also know why the title of the film is Breakfast at Tiffany’s? The iconic film starts with a scene where Holly Golightly (played by Audrey Hepburn ) gets out of a taxi early in the morning after a failed date in an elegant, black dress, where she stops for a moment at Tiffany & Co. She peers through the display case of the New York jeweler while sipping from her take-away coffee and eating her croissant.
The Blue Box Café will open its doors on 15 February 2020. As it is a temporary pop up, be sure to catch it while you can!
