Man Up: Tiffany & Co. Men's Collection
After putting his stamp on Tiffany & Co.'s offerings for ladies, it's only fair that chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff has turned his attention to men, launching the Tiffany Men's collection this month. The collection features 2 lines, Tiffany 1837 Makers and Diamond Point, with nearly 100 designs covering jewellery, watches, and home accessories, including a sterling silver and 24k gold vermeil chess set.
The Tiffany 1837 Makers series looks to the craftsmanship heritage of Tiffany & Co., drawing on the jeweller's tradition of handcrafting sports trophies. Playing on concave and convex forms, the designs are reminiscent of utilitarian hardware, and are stamped with symbols like 'T & CO MAKERS', 'NY', and 'AG925'. Scroll to see some of the pieces below:
In contrast to the utilitarian feel of Tiffany 1837 Makers, the Diamond Point line trends towards the classic end of the style spectrum with a bold, graphic pattern. The diamond motif surfaces as an accent or a prominent overlay on the pieces, which range from pendants to a cocktail mixer, proving that diamonds are also a guy's best friend.
