A Taste of The New Prada Caffè in Singapore

Prada’s ION store has been re-styled and now houses the first in-boutique Prada Caffè in Southeast Asia.

After the workout that is trying on some fab Prada fits, one can now be cosily perched and enjoy a cold brew coffee or even a Spritz Aperol, all in the comfort of the Prada Caffè, which sits on the upper floor of the brand’s ION boutique. The stylish space is suitably bathed in not just natural light but that soothing, signature minty Prada green. Offering Prada chocolates, which are flown in from Italy, the Caffè also has a menu of coffee and hot drinks, cocktails and mocktails, pastries and a savoury selection. L’OFFICIEL SINGAPORE spills the tea on what we tasted.

Crostone

There are two options for savoury Italian toast here: smoked salmon and avocado, and thinly sliced veal in an anchovy, capers and tuna dressing. The former is a go-to if you like your bites light and refreshing, while the latter makes for a slightly richer treat.

Salads

We tried the burrata with artichokes and black truffle — unlike overwhelming burrata dishes that we’re used to, and much like the smoked salmon toast, this dish felt clean, light and easy on the palate. Perfect for one to finish, or for two to share.

Small Cakes

Perhaps the prettiest sweets in the Caffè displays are these little pillowy cakes, which are each decorated with a barely there Prada triangle on top. The mini cakes are available in a variety of flavours — pastel blue is gianduja, green is pistachio, pink is red fruits (red berries and strawberries), and yellow is lemon. We couldn’t decide what to get, so we had one of each.
