What to Expect at Louis Vuitton's "200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition"
Come celebrate 200 years of Louis Vuitton magic at Marina Bay Sands.
To celebrate Louis Vuitton’s 200th anniversary, the maison has organised a special international exhibition; one that will make its first stop in Singapore. From April 4th to 27th, visitors can visit the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza to view “200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition”.
The travelling presentation features 200 imaginative trunks realised by 200 visionaries, including designs from artists like BTS. Guests will begin their experience in a briefing room panelled with LED screens. They will then make their way to the first main space, a warehouse-like room where original art pieces are juxtaposed with screen panelled “magic trunks”. To complete this first experience, a robot-trunk — Monsieur Louis – will represent a futuristic transfiguration of object and creator, giving life to the past. Eventually, visitors can make their way through the open space, admiring original pieces as the trunks, staggered at various heights, are stacked upon the carts in which they will continue their global journey.
Need more convincing? The exhibition includes an interactive space featuring the trunk created by BTS. As a means to include visitors, the designs have been reproduced on the walls with a space designated for guests to add their own creations.
The exhibition is free and open to the public. Registration can be made on their website from 1st April onwards.
