Pomellato Revives Mora and Mosaico Rings

Pomellato lives up to its reputation for colour again with Memorie d'Archivio, reinterpreting its Mora and Mosaico rings.

As the year draws to a close, Pomellato embarks on a journey through time by revisiting two of its emblematic collections from the archives: Mora, which takes us back to 1996, and Mosaico, which dates to 1997. At the heart of this reinterpretation is the Italian house's signature cabochon cut, explored in varying shapes and dimensions.

The Mora line is a whimsical tribute to nature’s abundance, with a cluster of cabochon gemstones perched atop a sculptural rose gold band. The hypnotic blue hues of labradorite mingle with the brilliant sparkle of white diamonds, creating a play of light and colour. Equally eye-catching, another model pairs the ethereal tones of chalcedony with white diamonds. “With Mora and Mosaico, I wanted to reintroduce two of Pomellato’s greatest hits that are particularly dear to me, using materials that have become increasingly interesting to us: mineral gemstones,” says Vincenzo Castaldo, Pomellato’s Creative Director. For his part, Mosaico modernises the age-old craft of mosaic, with each ring featuring a large composition of cabochon-cut gemstones — sodalite, skarn, tourmalines and a rare dendritic opal — complemented by a pavé of brilliant-cut diamonds or colored gemstones, all set in rose gold. A subtle way for Pomellato to honour its rich heritage.
