Dark Energy: Mikimoto’s New Passionoir Jewellery Collection
Now open to the public at the house’s Marina Bay Sands boutique, the Passionoir in-store display is a daring showcase of creativity and verve.
Mikimoto flips the script on its pearl jewellery by unveiling an entire range distinguished by the colour of power and brooding sophistication. Amplifying the contrast between pearls and jet black metal, the Passionoir collection comprises necklaces, pendants, bracelets, ear cuffs, earrings and a brooch that bring together the best of both worlds: Black South Sea cultured pearls or Akoya cultured pearls, set off against silver or 18K white gold “Japanned Noir” — Mikimoto’s way of describing its jewellery with a black rhodium plating — and highlighted with black spinel or diamond.
Exclusive to Mikimoto’s Marina Bay Sands Singapore boutique, the Passionoir in-store display is open to the public from now until 7 August, and with a minimum spend of $2,500, customers can redeem a gift from the vending machine (while stocks last).
The launch of the Passionoir collection in Japan last September was accompanied by the release of the Passionoir series of six original short films, featuring a diverse range of artists, sportsmen and creators sharing their interpretations of what passion means to them and how it keeps them inspired and motivated in their pursuits.
