Louis Vuitton’s Empreinte Jewellery Collection Captures the Maison’s Emblematic Codes

Introduced in 2004, the Empreinte motifs were first designed on a series of leather accessories, ranging from bags, to wallets and finally now in the form of delicate jewellery pieces. The Empreinte leather line comprises the signature LV initials designed by Georges Vuitton in 1896. The instantly recognisable monogram stays as a classic, displaying the idiosyncratic spirit of Louis Vuitton.

Honouring the house’s legacy, Artistic Director of Jewellery and Watches Francesca Amfitheatrof puts a contemporary spin on the emblematic codes, opening a new chapter of jewellery as she turns her exquisite skills to unprecedented creations in assertive sizes. Reminiscent of the revolutionary Louis Vuitton Trunk studs, the sophisticated Monogram four-petal flowers are etched into a series of 18-karat yellow, white and pink gold jewellery pieces. 

A timeless collection full of character and personality — The interlocked rings and bracelets are interlaced with semiotics, portraying an intimate and loving relationship. Weaving the Maison's traditions, the intertwined jewellery echos the leather straps that fasten the iconic trunk luggage. 

The eye-catching blossoms motif is also materialised into modern talismans and on the cords of the bracelets that lightly follow each movement.

The collection is also joined by a multifaceted long necklace that can easily be transformed into a multi-strand bracelet or a stacked necklace on a whim. With its ineradicable versatility, it is the perfect piece to wear for various occasions while maximizing an elegant effect. Set in a circular shape, the minimally designed hoop earrings and diamond-studded pink gold ear cuffs also take on the iconic LV initials, which can be styled in a multitude of ways – individually or mixed and matched for a unique flair.
