Inside Lady Gaga's Stunning Bulgari Jewellery in 'House of Gucci'
As Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani in 'House of Gucci', Lady Gaga dons several iconic pieces from Bulgari's high jewellery and heritage collections, some of which date back to the 1970s — and belonged to real-life royalty.
As a movie, House of Gucci has all the makings of a smash hit: It's got sex, murder, and gorgeous outfits and jewellery – as the latest trailer portends. Though the machinations of Italian fashion royalty will be thrilling to watch when the movie releases on November 25, we're particularly enamoured with Lady Gaga's choice of bling. In several key scenes in the trailer, Gaga — who plays Patrizia Gucci — appears in several iconic pieces from famed Italian luxury house Bulgari.
Here, we see her dancing with Adam Driver (who plays her on-screen husband and Gucci scion Maurizio) while wearing a stunning necklace and earring set from Bulgari's new Le Magnifiche high jewellery collection. The jaw-dropping necklace is made with 11 Pigeon's blood rubies — one of the most sought-after natural colours in a ruby — along with 77 round brilliant-cut diamonds and a constellation of pavé-set diamonds.
In another scene, Gaga schemes in style with a set of jewellery from Bulgari's Heritage collection. The first thing you'll notice is the ostentatious gold necklace that's replete with a cacophony of precious stones; the necklace features amethysts, citrines, pink tourmalines, emeralds, sapphires and diamonds. The regal creation from 1991 was, in fact, formerly in the collection of Princess Yasmin Aga Khan — who also happens to be Rita Hayworth's daughter. Sharp-eyed fans will also notice Gaga's matching earrings, all of which make for a wickedly good look.
An exclusive exhibition dedicated to the film's costumes will also be on display at Los Angeles' Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, and at The Museum of Photography in New York this December.
