Bulgari's Star-Studded Fifth Avenue Flagship Opening
More than forty years since the opening of its first store in New York, Bulgari renews its love for the city with the reimagining of its flagship boutique on Fifth Avenue.
To celebrate the re-opening, the Roman jewellery house hosted an intimate in-store cocktail reception for 200 esteemed guests last week. The star-studded list of attendees included Bulgari ambassadors Lily Aldridge, Bella Hadid, Jasmine Sanders, Jon Kortajarena, and Laura Harrier, joined by other celebrities such as Mario Testino, Ciara, Demi Lovato, Ruby Rose, Sofia Richie, Ellie Goulding, Misty Copeland, Bryan Grey-Yambao, Camila Coelho, and Josephine Skiver.
Following cocktails, guests were whisked away to a dinner at The Met Cloisters, the branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, hosted by Bulgari Chief Executive Officer, Jean-Christophe Babin. The evening ended on a high note with two surprise performances by Lil Buck and Demi Lovato.
Featuring a new design concept specially developed by renowned architect Peter Marino, the refreshed Bulgari store draws on the timeless yet contemporary vision of Rome with over 4,000 square feet of pure luxury. To portray the balance between ancient and new, tradition, innovation and eclecticism, Marino's concept comes to life through daring combinations of fine marble, luxury silks, velvets as well as in the décor and furniture. Reigning over the facade of the store is the impressive entrance – a reproduction of the iconic Condotti door of 1930 with a handcrafted replica of the lantern hanging over the entrance of the Roman flagship boutique. Inside, the store layout recalls those of Italian theaters with a star-patterned white Lhasa marble mosaic in the main entrance room and a chic, yet intimate VIP area on the mezzanine floor.
