Boucheron Updates Medallion with Portrait of Wladimir the Cat
A gold medal for Wladimir the Cat!
The medallion has been a part of Boucheron’s history since the French Maison was founded in 1858 — the house has inscribed initials, zodiac signs and portraits on the precious metal disc. This year, the jeweller refreshes the house classic with a portrait of Wladimir the cat, who has been an icon of the Maison since 1979 when he appeared in Boucheron advertising campaigns with High Jewellery necklaces. The very first medallion in a series was revealed at the brand’s 26 Place Vendôme boutique in January, and the full collection is set to be unveiled in September.
When the time comes, we’ll be putting the pedal to the medal.
