Inside ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo's First Visit to 12 Vendôme with Chaumet
Join the K-pop star and actor as he tours the newly renovated space, while in Paris for the launch of Le Jardin de Chaumet high jewellery collection
ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo caused quite a ruckus online when he attended the star-studded gala dinner hosted by Chaumet, celebrating the launch of Le Jardin de Chaumet high jewellery collection. The K-pop star and singer captivated the world with his princely visuals, looking like royalty alongside face of Chaumet, Song Hye-kyo. Turns out, that wasn't the only thing he was up to in Paris as prior to the dinner, he paid a visit to the French high jeweller's historic address, 12 Vendôme. The 12 Vendôme hôtel particulier had just reopened in 2020 after a year of renovation, and they invited friends from all over the world to celebrate.
During his visit, Cha got to explore the private and historical salons, such as the Salon Chopin, where he could resist playing a few notes on the Pleyel piano. It was a tribute to the famous composer who had composed his final mazurka there. Upstairs, he got to tour the High Jewellery workshop and met Benoît Verhulle, the head of the workshop to learn more about the intricate craftmanship that goes behind each jewellery piece while observing the artisans at work.
But the highlight of the visit was when Cha Eun-woo spent some time in the consultation room. He took the chance to dive into the treasures of the archives, looking through sketches, order books, and historical pieces of jewellery.
