Zendaya Undergoes Fashion Emergency Ahead of Bulgari Event
The actress avoided a major fashion disaster after obtaining a last-minute pull an hour before her event.
Not even a lost dress can stop Zendaya from serving looks on the red carpet.
On Thursday, the actress stunned at the Bulgari Hotel Roma event in Rome as she walked the carpet in a black glittery Valentino suit, sparkling fish-net top, and black stilettos — a look pulled together by image architect and creative director Law Roach. The jaw-dropping look was as euphoric as the numerous other spotlight-stealing red carpet moments Zendaya is privy to, leading many of us to believe the Valentino pull was planned entirely. However, the Dune star disclosed on Instagram that the look was acquired due to a major fashion emergency.
"Fun fact…my dress for tonight's @bulgarihotels event got lost in transit, so we got this suit an hour before the event," she posted on her Instagram story.
She continued, "When in doubt…a @maisonvalentino suit :) @luxurylaw."
Her appearance comes shortly after attending Bulgari's Mediterranea High Jewelry Collection event in Venice, where she sat alongside Anne Hathaway, Priyanka Chopra, and Blackpink's Lisa — all current Bulgari ambassadors. The Euphoria actress took the classic glamour approach in a custom Richard Quinn gown and accessorized with a serpentine-style Bulgari necklace. She topped off the ensemble with a sultry makeup look consisting of siren eyes and a nude lip.
This is not Zendaya's first time opting for Valentino, as the actress has a long history working with the luxury label. In 2020, she was named the new face of Valentino and starred in the Maison's Fall 2022 Campaign Pink Collection. At the 2023 SAG Awards, Zendaya made a triumphant return to the red carpet arriving in a blush-pink Valentino gown adorned with rosette embellishments – a popular floral trend of late.
In April, Zendaya was announced as the newest House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton and the face of the Capucines bag. Being so well-known for her versatility on the red carpet, clearly, the actress is not solely opting for Louis Vuitton garments for big appearances (as seen at both Bulgari events). However, it will not come as a surprise if we witness Zendaya taking on more Louis Vuitton pulls as the year goes by.
