Bulgari Unveils Mediterranea High Jewellery Collection in a Star-Studded Event
Held in Venice, Italy, house ambassadors such as Blackpink's Lisa, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and more joined in to celebrate the dazzling launch.
In the picturesque city of Venice, Bulgari celebrated the launch of Mediterranea, the House’s latest collection of high jewelry and high-end watches. The exclusive event was held at the Palazzo Ducale, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks that the House also contributed to preserve. Bulgari’s ambassadors including Blackpink’s Lisa, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Priyanka Chopra Jones also looked dazzling as they came in attendance wearing the high jewelry pieces from the collection. Other VIP guests and friends of the House were also present in the launch including Yifei Liu, Hikari Mori, Yang Yang, and Law Roach.
Guests immersed themselves into the beauty and wonder of the Bulgari universe as they were presented with a precious assortment of over 400 high jewelry pieces worn by models including Stella Maxwell, Blesnia Minher, and Eva Herzigova who strutted down a Mediterranea-inspired mosaic runway.
The collection explores the different facets of the Mediterranean and is divided into three categories where each refers to the specific constellation of symbols, atmospheres, and inspirations. Cross-pollination, eclecticism, and syncretism were the key terms of a lineup that integrated the Meriterranea Collection into the categories “Southern Radiance”, “Roman Splendor”, and “East Meets West”.
The "Southern Radiance" expresses the intricate architecture, lush gardens, sunny coastlines, and a powerful telluric nature that contributes to the rich cultural legacy of Southern Italy and Bulgari’s vivacious and joyful spirit.
Enriching Ancient Greek heritage through a millennial tradition, Rome is an emblem of magnificence, lavishness and preciousness. In the “Roman Splendor” range, a series of exquisite creations evoke some of the Eternal City’s most emblematic monuments, its unique warm light, as well as the fascinating mythology linked to its history.
Touching a wide range of different countries and three different continents, Europe, Africa and Asia, the Mediterranean Sea has always been an extraordinary crossroads of communities and cultures. “East Meets West” translates this mosaic of elements into unexpected, elegant creations expressing Bulgari’s authentic sensitiveness and open-minded vision.
Lastly, the iconic Serpenti was ever present in the collection as the signature emblem also celebrates its 75th anniversary since its introduction in the Roman Maison’s creations.
The event continued with an exclusive gala dinner at Palazzo Ducale’s Sala dello Scruttinio where guests were served with an exclusive Michelin-starred menu curated specifically for the House’s launch. American award-winning singer Norah Jones took the night to a sweet close with a special performance of her famous hits including “Don’t Know Why” and “Come Away with Me”.
