The Freeminder: Longchamp's New Chunky But Sleek Sneakers
Sneaking In The Sneaker
Since Longchamp was founded some 70 years ago, the brand hasn’t had a major sneaker release until, well, now. The style, with its many variations from muted to bright, aims to strike the balance between street and chic, as your new day-to-night footwear.
The Details
They include chunky, wedge-shaped soles and elastic laces – better still, they’re the kind that don’t require tying. How you’ll ID the sneakers as Longchamp ones? The laces can be tightened using a silver-toned toggle in the shape of the brand’s bamboo icon, while another Longchamp signature – the racehorse motif – can be found on the sole.
The Variations
There’s an array of colours, materials and finishes. Some of our favourites: the timeless all-white; an eye-catching black and white take (that boldly mixes python and croco-printed calfskin); and a feminine powder blue and beige iteration in suede. From $625 to $810.
First seen in the September 2019 issue of L'Officiel Singapore.
