Take A Lesson In Summer Style With Joy From Red Velvet
One of K-pop’s brightest stars, Joy, also known as Park Soo-young, and a member of girl group Red Velvet has caught our eye in more ways than one. Not only has the South Korean singer and actress got some killer musical chops, she’s got pretty inspirational style, too.
The 24-year-old made her Fashion Week debut earlier during fall 2020 at Micheal Kors and her feminine, vintage style has caught out eyes ever since. She takes a liking to prints from floral to gingham, and is not one to shy away from bright colours. Her outfits range from brands such as Celine, Dior, to Calvin Klein, from lacey black crop tops to oversized graphic tees.
In case you didn’t already know, Red Velvet was formed by SM Entertainment, South Korea’s largest entertainment company in 2014, and consists of five members including Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Yeri, together with Joy.
Ahead, take a look at some of her most recent summer appropriate outfits that we’d gladly like to emulate.
Joy takes the trendy blazer and trousers coord trend breezy with a light cotton shirt underneath. Here, she wears Dior’s slogan T-shirt that carries the words “We Should All Be Feminists” that made statements throughout the web.
Tie dye prints are all the rage right now - Joy rocks it with a sleek mini dress that's perfect to be worn from day to night, and ups the style factor with a pair of colourful Nike sneakers.
This outfit is perfect for picnics or weekend brunches. Here, Joy is dressed in an off-shoulder dress and hat in Celine.
Never underestimate the power of a statement floral top. Here, Joy pairs it with high-waisted denim pants and statement vintage earrings.
Joy takes on preppy in a Dior Cashmere Sweater and skirt from their pre-fall 2020 collection, topped with fishnet socks and Mulberry Loafers.
The right pop of colour can really make an outfit. Joy wears a princess puff sleeve top and skirt from Korean label Surfea, edged up with black Dr. Martens gladiator sandals and a Bottega Veneta red clutch, completed with a Vintage Hollywood cloud necklace.
As part of her teaser for her mini album “‘The ReVe Festival' Day 2” earlier last year, Joy sports a retro green checkered dress that's oh-so picnic appropriate.
Dressed in head to toe Gucci with this '70s-inspired number, Joy wears a Gucci brooch, crochet top and denim flare pants.
