Small Wonder: Dior Introduces A New Mini Version Of The Book Tote
Whatever you may think of the mini bag, it definitely isn’t going away anytime soon. Designers and trendsetters alike have fallen under its spell, with many an adorable accoutrement making it big on the runways, streets, red carpets (remember that meme-worthy Lizzo moment at the AMAs?) and of course, social media. Always one to keep a finger on the pulse, Dior has unveiled what is sure to be the next miniature must-have: a shrunk down version of its best-selling Book Tote.
Whilst retaining the same streamlined silhouette and eye-catching embroidery of the original, the new Mini Book Tote features handles that connect seamlessly (literally) to the body, giving it an intriguingly two-dimensional feel that only adds to its charm. And petite proportions notwithstanding, the dainty handbag is sufficiently capacious to stash the essentials, from your phone, wallet, and keys to your makeup, AirPods, and emergency snacks (because you never know when you might need a sugar boost).
Small in size but big in presence, the Mini Book Tote has already won the hearts of several famous fans, including the ever-fabulous Rihanna, who was recently snapped with one in hand, as well as Angelababy, Tessa Thompson, Laetitia Casta, and Princess Alexandra of Hanover. No doubt we will be seeing a lot more of this pint-sized powerhouse in the coming months.
Choose from the classic Dior Oblique embroidered canvas in blue or burgundy, a chic black and beige houndstooth-patterned lurex, or a stone-washed denim interpretation tonally stitched with the house monogram. The now-classic camouflage print introduced for last season also makes an appearance in black and navy blue, here rendered in hand-cut canvas with intricate fringe details. Each bag is emblazoned with the Christian Dior name across the front, but if you’d like to get a little more personal, you can add an individual touch with the maison’s ABCDior service.
