Prada’s Spring/Summer 2022 Collection Gets Edgy with Seduction
When it comes to sensuality, Prada likes it stripped down and unapologetic.
The House of Prada is never one to shy away from making statements. On 24 September, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’s collaboration finally came to life on the runways of Milan and Shanghai — exploring the idea of sex at its core through clothing.
The designers cleverly utilised symbolic pieces like lengthy trains, sultry silk and lace, loose corsets, and built-in brassieres to represent the intimacy of romance through fashionable pieces — but not in the way you’d think. Instead of baring it all, the models were decorated with material that covered essential bits, but also accentuated distinct womanly features.
In doing so, Prada incorporated symbolic pieces relating to sex into ensembles you can wear outside of the bedroom — creating a wardrobe of clothing that adds a chic yet sexy twist to everyday wear.
