The multitude characterises Prada - not one woman, but many. Like the identity of women today, the identity of Prada is fluid, fluctuating, and open to interpretation. Simultaneously complex and simple, singular yet multi-faceted. This indefinable plurality is what lies at the heart of the Spring/Summer 2020 campaign from the Italian label, which offers myriad views and perspectives on the ever-shifting landscape of women.

The campaign revolves around the a series of written acronyms, spelling out the Prada name. Like the images they are placed alongside, each of these acronyms offers an interpretation of the essence of the house, but only one of many. An attempt at an impossible definition that becomes a manifesto for the impossibility of definition.

Photographed by Jamie Hawkesworth, the campaign stars a cast of women as distinctive and dichotomous as Prada itself, including Freja Beha Erichsen, Anna Ewers, Sara Blomqvist, Kyla Ramsey, Ruiqi Jian, Berit Heitman, Ashley Radjarame, Charlotte Rose, Miriam Sanchez, and Zso Varju.

Words and images that interpret literally the multiple identities within Prada as well as within the Prada woman, expressing the ultimate paradox of the brand - immediately recognisable yet impossible to define.
